How to update your payment method in WooCommerce

Updating your payment information in WooCommerce is a very straightforward task, you might need to update your payment method if your current card has expired, been cancelled, or you have switched banks.

Simply follow the steps below:

  • Login to your account
  • Then navigate to your account page
  • From here click on “Payment Methods” and select “Add Payment Method”
  • Then from the “Payment Methods” section in your account select “Make Default”. This will make your new payment method the default payment method when you next make a purchase on the website

Now you have added a new payment method, the next thing you need to do is assign it to your subscription (if you have one).

  • From your account area, click on “Subscriptions”
  • Select “View” next to the subscription you’d like to edit
  • Select “Change Payment”
  • Scroll down and select your new payment method from the list.
  • Press “Change Payment Method” to complete the process
