You can change your SSL certificate’s common name, which is the primary domain name that the certificate secures and encrypts. How you change your common name depends on where your certificate is currently hosted:

  1. Go to your ELITE WEB Co. product page.
  2. Select SSL Certificates, and next to the SSL certificate you want to change, select Manage.
  3. Select Change the site that your certificate protects.
  4. Select one of the following based on where your website is hosted:
  5. Select Add Change.
  6. If you provided a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) from your server when you got your original SSL certificate and you’re moving to a new server, you’ll need to add an additional change to re-key the certificate with a CSR from the new server. Select Re-Key your certificate, paste the new CSR, and select Add Change.
  7. Select Submit All Changes.

Note: With Deluxe and Extended Validation SSLs, you can only change the common name, not the organization’s information.
