I’m not receiving email

Professional Email / I’m not receiving email

If your Microsoft 365 account isn’t getting or receiving email, check out these troubleshooting tips.

Check if there’s an issue with your email client

You might be receiving email but not on the client (like Gmail or Mac Mail) you have installed. Sign in to Outlook on the web to see if new messages are in your inbox. If you see new messages online but not on your client, try setting up email on your client again.

Check your internet connection

Connectivity issues may stop you from seeing or receiving email. Check that your internet connection is working properly.

Check if emails are being sent to the right address

Try contacting the sender to see if the email address was correctly spelled and if they received a bounce back or error message.

Check if mail is going to spam or junk folders

Make sure your mail is not being sent to your spam or junk folder.

  1. Sign in to Outlook on the web. Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your ELITEWEB.Co username and password won’t work here).
  2. In the upper-right corner, select Settings gear button Settings > View all Outlook settings.
  3. Select Mail > Junk email.
  4. Under Blocked senders and domains, select the Trash can button button next to emails you want to receive mail from.

Check your mailbox filters or rules

Check your mailbox filters or rules to make sure they’re not preventing you from receiving mail you want.

  1. Sign in to Outlook on the web. Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your ELITEWEB.Co username and password won’t work here).
  2. In the upper-right corner, select Settings gear button Settings > View all Outlook settings.
  3. Select Mail > Junk email.
  4. Under Filters, clear any checkboxes you no longer want.

Check your storage capacity

Make sure your storage isn’t too full to receive new email.

  1. Sign in to Outlook on the web. Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your ELITEWEB.Co username and password won’t work here).
  2. In the upper-right corner, select Settings gear button Settings > View all Outlook settings.
  3. Select General > Storage.

If your storage is full, free up more space by selecting the Trash can button button to empty contents of a folder or upgrade your plan to one with more storage.

Check if your POP/IMAP settings are correct

If your email is using POP or IMAP, check if your server settings are correct. We recommend switching from POP/IMAP to Microsoft Exchange settings.

  1. Sign in to Outlook on the web. Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your ELITEWEB.Co username and password won’t work here).
  2. In the upper-right corner, select Settings gear button Settings > View all Outlook settings.
  3. Select Mail > Sync email.

You’ll see your POP/IMAP settings for Microsoft 365.

Check your DNS

Check your DNS settings to make sure your email is working properly.

  1. Go to your Email & Office Dashboard.
  2. Under Users, select Manage next to your account.
  3. Under Setup, select Recheck DNS.
  4. Select Recheck DNS.

If there’s an issue with your DNS, update your MX records. If your domain is with another company, contact them for help updating your MX records, or transfer your domain to ELITEWEB.Co.

Check that your email is still active

Check that your Microsoft 365 account is still active. If there was an issue with billing or if your account was deleted, it will no longer receive mail. Go to your Email & Office Dashboard and check if your account is listed under Users.

Restart your computer

You may want to try restarting your computer or mobile device.
