Troubleshoot cache issues

Home / Help Center / Security / Troubleshoot cache issues

If you’re having cache issues with your website, there are a number of things to try in order fix it. The table below is ranked from easiest to most complicated. Start with the first row, and check to see if your caching issue has been resolved before moving onto the next one.

Steps to try
Clear the firewall cacheClear cache for your Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Clear the browser cacheClear my browser’s cache
Set cache level to site cachingChange my cache level
Cache exceptionsIf you want to disable caching on specific files or directories, you can do it without disabling the entire cache.Go to your ELITE WEB Co. product page .Under Website Security and Backups, next to the Website Security account you want to use, select Manage. On the navigation menu, select Firewall.
For the domain you want to configure, select cog icon and then select Performance.
Select Non-Cache URL’s, enter the path to the page you don’t want cached and select Add URL

Note: Don’t add high traffic pages/directories like /feed/ to the non-cache URLs. Your website will be vulnerable to DDoS attacks.

We’ll still cache images, .css, .js, .pdf, .txt, .mp3 and a few more extensions in your WAF, regardless of the cache mode or non-cached URLs.
